Katelin's world was turned upside down with the sudden passing of her then fiancé, Joe. The life she had planned and hoped for was all of a sudden non-existent. Her best friend and love of her life was gone in the blink of an eye.

I came to America from Mongolia in 2013 with my five-year-old daughter and three-year-old son.  We journeyed here alone as my husband remained in our home country, and our first experiences here were incredibly difficult. I found the United States to be vastly different than Mongolia, and not having friends or knowledge of the area led to many logistical challenges.

God has always placed a burden on my heart to reach Muslims and atheists, so when I started my studies at George Mason University, I wanted to become more equipped to give a rational defense of Christian truth to skeptics and adherents of other religions. I felt God leading me to be a better witness to my friends through evangelism and apologetics.

My whole life I struggled with consistently reading the Bible. I had periods where I read large chunks for weeks at a time, but it was never engrained as a discipline. About a year ago, I was challenged by a brother to read scripture everyday, and he offered to hold me accountable.

I’ve seen God at work in my life as He gives me wisdom and understanding about worldly and heavenly authority.
