This past March, I had the opportunity to go to Bogota, Colombia, with seven others from Cru at George Mason University. From the very beginning of our visit, it was clear the trip would be challenging. Most of the students we met were atheists or agnostics. But over the course of the week, I saw God move in mighty ways.

I was getting restless in my job. My boss had offered me a yearly increase that I felt wasn’t proportional to the increase in responsibility I had taken on. So I started to look for new jobs.

Originally, I wasn’t that excited to come to Harvest Fairfax. My girlfriend at the time, now wife, Madison, was the reason I started coming to Harvest. I initially felt like I didn't have the chance to choose a church that I wanted to attend, but rather I had a church chosen for me.

God had been challenging Ashley to do hard things and be courageous for Christ. It wouldn’t be the first time she said yes with great expectations to an uncomfortable situation.
