In Mark 1:21-45 we see that Jesus is the Powerful, Popular, Prayed-up, Pitying Preacher. He is constantly seeking ways to serve the physical needs of the people without losing sight of his ultimate goal of meeting the spiritual need of everyone. Let us also not lose sight of the gospel that motivates us to serve others and make disciples.

We are starting our new sermon series through the Gospel of Mark. We start in chapter 1 by asking the question, what happens if we misunderstand Jesus? The Bible is what we need if we’re going to see mature disciples growing and multiplying at Harvest.

We are proud to live in Northern Virginia. Except for the traffic, we love it here. For everything that we love there is one thing that is universally difficult to find, and that is, community. Because of Jesus’ work on the cross we are a part of the body of Christ. Because of Jesus you are part of this Uncommon Community, and we belong together.
