Fairfax Bible Kids Check-in Procedures
Updated October 20, 2022
We are very pleased to have your child(ren) join Fairfax Bible Church Kids at our weekly in-person services. All of our classrooms are open for kids between 6M - 5th grade.
Check-In:
Families are asked to review the following list of symptoms. If any member of the household is experiencing these symptoms, we ask that you please stay home:
Fever
Chills
Cough
Shortness of breath/difficulty breathing.
Fatigue
Muscle or body aches
Headaches
Upon arrival, a Fairfax Bible Church Kids volunteer will check in your child(ren) and provide you with a printed check-in tag that will match the name tag given to your child. We will then show you where each child will need to go for class.
Classroom Drop-Off/Pick-Up:
Nursery & Toddler Classes: Parents will drop off children at the door of the classroom and volunteers will be there to receive them immediately after check-in.
Preschool & Elementary Classes: After check-in, your kids will remain with you for the worship portion of the service before being released to their classrooms before the sermon. Fairfax Bible Church Kids volunteers will walk with your children from the auditorium to their classrooms.
For pick-up, parents will need to show the matching check-in tag that corresponds to their child’s name tag and a volunteer will bring their child(ren) to the door of the classroom. Parents are encouraged to pick up their children promptly after service to allow volunteers the time needed to sanitize all toys and high-touch surfaces after class.
Face Coverings:
Per guidance of Fairfax County Public Schools, face coverings are optional for all children and volunteers.
Classroom:
Classroom Occupancy: Per the state of Virginia, a maximum of 12 children 4 and under will be allowed in one classroom at a time (with two volunteers per 12 children).
Snacks will not be served and outside food or drink will not be allowed in the classrooms.
Only dirty diapers will be changed. In the event of a dirty diaper, volunteers will have supplies handy in the classroom. Volunteers will wear gloves when changing dirty diapers.
Volunteers will sanitize any toys that go into a child’s mouth along with high-touch surfaces as the class progresses.
Clean-Up:
After all children have been picked up, volunteers will sanitize all toys and high-touch surfaces thoroughly.
Volunteers:
All Fairfax Bible Church Kids volunteers undergo a background check prior to serving.
Security:
A member of the church will be on security duty outside the classroom area each Sunday for the entire duration of the service.
