As one of Japan’s largest cities, Fukuoka is home to over a million people who are part of the world’s second-largest unreached people group. Born-again Christians make up less than 1% of Japan’s population. However, the Mustard Seed Network (MSN), supported by Fairfax Bible Church and the Japan Missions Team has devoted itself to spreading the good news of the gospel through 12 church plants in 12 cities over the past 12 years.
I’ve joined the 2026 FBC Japan Missions Team in its goal to provide on-the-ground support to the newest MSN church and its missionaries in Fukuoka. But I need your help to get there!

What your support will allow
Your support will allow me to join a cohort of mission teams from three churches (Fairfax Bible Church, All People’s Community Church, and Redemption City Church) May 21 – June 1 in Fukuoka, Japan to serve missionaries David and Alyssa Wissel, MSCC Fukuoka, and the broader city of Fukuoka.
While in Japan we will:
- Assist with street evangelism in Fukuoka’s parks, cafes, and universities
- Help with the church’s English Connect program, which uses English tutoring as a way to spread awareness of the church and its mission
- Provide practical support and encouragement to local missionaries, David and Alyssa Wissel.
- Help with worship and production, as needed, during the church worship services
- Stir up renewed zeal, connection, and support for MSN/Japanese missions at our home churches through blogs, photos, videos, and personal testimonies of our time in Japan, allowing many others to benefit.
